  • Honesty: Provide accurate information in profiles, listings, bookings, and communications.
  • Responsibility: Honour commitments made through the platform and communicate promptly when plans change.
  • Safety: Prioritise the physical and emotional well-being of everyone involved in a booking or activity.

3. Respectful Interaction

Users must communicate courteously and professionally at all times, including in messages, reviews, and support interactions.

The following behaviour is not tolerated:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation;
  • Discriminatory language or conduct based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics;
  • Offensive, abusive, or sexually inappropriate content;
  • Attempts to move bookings or payments off-platform to circumvent TTTALK NL policies.

4. Honesty and Accurate Listings

Hosts must ensure that accommodation listings, activity descriptions, photos, pricing, availability, and house rules are truthful, current, and not misleading.

Travellers must provide accurate personal and booking information and disclose relevant details that may affect a host's ability to welcome them safely and appropriately.

5. Host Responsibilities

Hosts agree to:

  • Provide accommodations and activities that match their published descriptions;
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and reasonably comfortable environment for guests;
  • Respond to booking requests and messages in a timely manner;
  • Respect guests' privacy and communicate house rules clearly before and during a stay;
  • Comply with applicable local laws, regulations, and tax obligations.

6. Guest and Traveller Responsibilities

Guests and travellers agree to:

  • Treat hosts, their homes, and their communities with respect;
  • Follow house rules and local customs communicated by the host;
  • Avoid causing damage, excessive noise, or disruption to neighbours;
  • Report issues promptly through the platform rather than escalating conflicts inappropriately;
  • Use the platform for its intended purpose of cultural exchange and lawful travel accommodation.

7. Safety and Well-being

Users must not engage in behaviour that puts others at risk. This includes violence, unsafe activities, substance misuse that endangers others, or failure to address known hazards in a listing.

If you feel unsafe at any time, contact local emergency services where necessary and report the incident to TTTALK NL as soon as possible at support.nl@tttalk.nl.

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited on TTTALK NL:

  • Fraud, identity misrepresentation, or fake reviews;

  • Retaliation against users who report violations in good faith.

9. Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to TTTALK NL at support.nl@tttalk.nl. Include as much detail as possible, such as booking references, dates, and screenshots where appropriate.

Reports are reviewed confidentially. TTTALK NL may contact involved parties to gather additional information before taking action.

10. Enforcement and Consequences

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account removal, cancellation of bookings, or withholding of payouts where permitted by law and our Terms and Conditions.

TTTALK NL reserves the right to take action at its discretion to protect the community, including removing content or restricting access without prior notice in serious cases.

11. Updates to This Code of Conduct

We may update this Code of Conduct to reflect changes in our services, community needs, or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated by email or through the platform.

Continued use of TTTALK NL after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Code of Conduct.
